Shareholder

The founder of JSC “National Geological Service” (hereinafter referred to as NGS) is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented by the Committee of State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The rights of ownership and use of the state block of shares of the NGS, which is in republican ownership, on the basis of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 30, 2021 No. 971 belongs to the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is the Sole shareholder of the NGS, representing the interests of the state as a shareholder in issues within the competence of the general meeting of shareholders in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 2, 2023 No. 80, the Geology Committee was transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On measures to further improve the public administration system of the Republic of Kazakhstan” dated September 1, 2023 No. 318, was reorganized into the Ministry of Industry construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The right to dispose of the state block of shares of NGS belongs to the authorized body for state property.
